Your product logic — dimensions, valid combinations, pricing rules, constraint relationships — has to be encoded once before the configurator can use it. That encoding is what the setup fee covers. It's a one-time cost, not a recurring one.
The fee depends on how many product families you're starting with, how complex the configuration rules are, and whether you already have 3D models or need them created. We scope it in the first call and give you a fixed number before anything is signed.
If you're using PIM only (no CPQ configurator), there's no setup fee — you can import your existing data yourself, or use our optional data migration service.
